1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ICY Solutions website and our provision of plumbing and heating services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
ICY Solutions provides plumbing and heating services including but not limited to:
- Commercial and industrial plumbing
- Domestic plumbing repairs and installations
- Boiler installation, servicing, and repairs
- Gas safety inspections and certificates
- Emergency callout services
- Bathroom installations
- Planned preventative maintenance
3. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work changes or unforeseen circumstances arise.
Additional work discovered during a job will be communicated to you before proceeding, and additional costs will be agreed in advance where possible.
4. Bookings and Appointments
We will make every effort to attend appointments at the agreed time. If we need to reschedule, we will give you as much notice as possible. Please inform us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
For scheduled work, we may require a deposit. This will be communicated at the time of booking.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work for domestic customers unless otherwise agreed. Commercial customers may be offered account terms subject to approval.
We accept payment by cash, debit card, credit card, and bank transfer. Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.
6. Guarantees and Warranties
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship only and does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by misuse or neglect
- Work carried out by others after our completion
- Parts or materials not supplied by us
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to boilers and other equipment and are provided directly by the manufacturer.
7. Liability
We carry public liability insurance of £5,000,000. Our liability is limited to direct damages and shall not exceed the value of the services provided or our insurance coverage, whichever is lower.
We are not liable for consequential losses, loss of profits, or indirect damages except where caused by our negligence.
8. Access and Working Conditions
You agree to provide safe and clear access to the work area. We may be unable to complete work if:
- Access is restricted or unsafe
- Required utilities (water, electricity) are unavailable
- The work area contains hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos)
If we cannot complete work due to access issues, a callout fee may still be charged.
9. Gas Safety
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. If we identify an unsafe gas installation, we are legally obliged to make it safe or disconnect the supply. This is non-negotiable and for your safety.
10. Cancellation
For non-emergency work, you may cancel your booking with at least 24 hours' notice without charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.
For work already commenced, you will be charged for work completed and materials used.
